What: A book review site for the literary reader who occasionally dips into smut or whatever else catches the discerning eye.
Why?
Well, strictly for selfish reasons. I am an avid, addicted reader of novels. I feel like no matter how much time I spend reading, I will never get through all of the books that I want to read. I won't. It just cannot happen. I probably read three books a week and actually get a bit panicky if I don't have a little "stash" of books in waiting. The downside to this activity is that I frequently forget what I've read quite rapidly.
While vacationing for a few days with my dear brother and sister-in-law at Topsail Island, I came across a perfectly delightful little journal which allows me to jot down my thoughtts as I finish reading a book. Now, obviously, I can do this with any notebook, but the journal was just so charming and fills such a deep need in my life -- a true void -- that I had to buy it.
Nevertheless, I enjoy building websites as a fun activity and so I am going to try to consistently post here, as well, with my thoughts about and reviews of books I've read.

***** Gold Jenny Standard - I would recommend this book to my SIL (to be fair and in the spirit of full disclosure, there are certain genres that Jenny doesn't like, such as fantasy, and I might give certain fantasy novels a ***** and never give them to Jenny!
**** Silver - I loved this and will read it again.
*** I liked it, but I won't read it again.
** It had some redeeming qualities, but I wouldn't recommend it.
* Blech! 'nuff said about that.
